Speir completes Western Carolina coaching staff

02/13/2012 - Cullowhee, NC (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Western Carolina first-year head football coach Mark Speir has completed his coaching staff by adding defensive coordinator responsibilities to linebackers coach Curtis Walker and naming Steve Sisa the defensive secondary coach.

Walker arrived at the Southern Conference program after spending the last 10 seasons as Coastal Carolina's defensive coordinator.

Sisa has spent the past two years at the University of North Carolina, most recently working with the safeties.

Western Carolina finished 1-10 overall and 0-8 in the SoCon this past season. The Catamounts will open the Speir era with an Aug. 30 home game against Mars Hill.
